"The Chorus"

The Chorus is a French movie that i watch in lhp459 class.The title very abstrac and full of meaning. In the beginning, when I watch the introduction, i feel this movie very bored. But, its not like what i think. Actually, from watching this movie, i can interpret few things.In my opinion, I think this movie basically about a school of naughty boy which faced lot of family problem and experience with the strict teachers.They become more naughty when the principal, Mr.Rachin was using "action,reaction" approach to these boys. These boys are located in same class although they are different ages. These boys became uncontrol when the principal is too greedy and only think about the money and the way to gain some sponsored from the Countess. From the movie, we can say that there are many different from the French education system and our education system. As we know, our education system are based on examination from standard six until university level. Besides, the school in this movie are more like boarding school because there are 2 or 3 supervisor such as Genitor who have responsibility to take care of these boys. These boys think that Genitor is like the principle and other teachers. That's why the boys tend to hit him at his eyes. When the new teacher which is Clement Matthew was came to this school, he always bullied by these boys. These boys think that Matthew attitude also like the Mr Rachin, the principle. But, after few weeks they realized that this new teacher is kindhearted person. He always teach these boys with the proper way and do not used the action reaction approach. Actually, Mr Clement Matthew not have any background in educational.Before attend this school, he is a very famous musician. But, maybe after facing some problem, he change his career to be a teacher. He also a very kind person and kow that these boys not as bad as other people think. Then he try his very best to change people thinking with educate these boys in music. He realized that music can always help to change people. At the beginning, he faced problem with the principal which always opposed his idea. The principle also think that these boys are very naughty, thats why he against Clement Matthew idea. But, with the strong spirit in Mathhew and these boys, they started to form a combination a group of choir. These choir is the only things that will attract all boys attention. Although these boys have their own background, but they like to sig in a choir. One of the boy that get huge problem with his mother, which is Morhange are appointed to be a leader of this choir. From one day to another, Clement Mathhew became a loving person and give full support to this boys. They always trainning day and night. After that, Mathhew realized that, he should composed a new song lirics about these boys and these school. Besides there are a boy named Pepinot who always waiting at the gate every saturday. When Matthew ask why he doing that, the reason is he waitig for his father to take him back. But one day, principle was invite The Countess to see the choir that set up at this school. The main reason why the principle do that is to gain or get the sponsor for maintain this school. The Countess very proud of these choir and give her support by approve the sponsor to these school. But, like people always said, the good day not always come....When the school building was burn in a fire, the Matthew was fired. Then the day he should left the school, a little boy named Pepinot wan to go with him.And suprisingly, the day they left the school is actually in Suturday.That means, Pepinot dream become true and he got a 'father' to take care of him.So, finally, these boys became adult and united together with remembering their history. As a general, this movie really touch my feeling because it is full of loving people inside there.So. that's all thank you.

'Disipline among student'

Last month, if i've not mistaken, there are some cases about a teacher was punish their student with extreme way.Why this kind of cases will happened?What can i say is the education system have to change again. Nowadays, student become more pampered because parents always interfere in their school system. The "Parents and Teachers Association" became more powerful rather than the school administration itself. That's why these kids and student as a generally became uncontrol. They always think that their parents will do anything if the teacher try to hurt or even punish them. This problem are occured because of few aspect, such as aspect parents attitude, students attitude, teachers action and external environment.

From the parents aspect, usually, parents nowadays tend to be 'too protective' to his children.They trust 100% with his children without asking about the truth from the school administration. As we know parents more towards pampered children.They think that his children is a good student,but its not like what they think. If children say anything about school, such as the teacher punish them, teacher take action, and other else, they will go to school and scolded the teacher.It is not the professional way. Sometime, what teacher do is for students benefit.All for their future. But, when people begin to blame the teachers, it makes teacher became more pressure. They become not interested to teach students anymore, or else they tend to teach as an undedicated person. This is all because of these problem. Teachers afraid to be sued if they punish his student.

From Student attitude aspect, i think students nowadays, are more intelligent with the technology help such as internet, handphone, playstation and other else. This kind of aid maybe make our generation more mordent but at the other side, its make them became more demanding and selfish. They always thinking abaout themself only without thinking for thers. Students nowadays became more independent, overcontrol, bad attitude, and do not have manners towards older people.Usually, these kind of attitude came from parents educates.That why they became unpolite persons. They also became a rude children and students. Whe the teacher scolded or advise him, they became angry and make a report to police or parents.

From the teahers action, what i can say is today, many of our teacher especially the new comer or the senior teacher not have a background in education. That make them feel bored, and undedicated person when teach the children. Sometimes, they just be a teacher because they do not want to be unemployee person after graduate. This phenomenon make our educational system become worst. Some of these teacher more dedicate in doing extra classes because they can gain more extra income. But, the main point is the teacher action sometimes not suit with the educational system. That why this kind of cases will happend. The acton towards students sometime became a huge cases and havoc which absolutely give a bad thinking about all teacher as well.

As a conclusion, i think this kind of problem which is included students dicipline and teacher also have to take serious by all people. The education system also have to take approrriate action to overome this problem. If today teacher will produced good and intelligent student...what kind of students that teacher will produced in the next 20 years???
